L.: I’m a Jedi and a writer who currently daylights in the field of book marketing. My publishing experience includes YA & Children’s Fiction, Science-Fiction & Fantasy, and Scholarly Publishing in both marketing and editorial capacities.
I read a lot of different things, but the fantasy genre is closest to my heart. So mostly I’ll be blogging about that be it adult or YA. I also have a heavy interest in manga and comics. I’d say my top five authors (across all genres) are: Robert Jordan, George R. Martin, Naomi Novik, Eoin Colfer, and Annie Dillard.
Editorial Assassin: I am by day a mild mannered editorial assistant, who does in fact spend my time wading though slush piles with my red pencil of doom. But by night is I’m editorial assassin who guest blogs about books she likes and maybe if she feels like it things about the publishing world. I met Darcy in Grad school while I was also enduring rigorous training to be a publisher. Also I’m a Jedi, a dyslexic Jedi.

Hey this is Julia. You know, the Twilight hater. So I was checking out your blog and wanted to say hi and good job. Its really good and your dog is super cute. BTW, if you think you’re geeky, I have a cousin who is in love with everything star trek. She is soooooo funny. And guess what? I finally got her and her sister to hate Twilight. They were reading it and I told them everything and they totally agreed with me. Mwuuuahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!. I’m soooo evil, right?

Lol, boo Star Trek. Sorry, I’m compelled to hate on it.
It’s the Jedi in me. I do love the first three books, but I can’t defend everything about the Twilight saga. Like all books, it has strong points and week points. Whether you love it or hate it, to each there own. I hope more fanatic Twilight fans aren’t still attacking you.

Well, I admit, while Star Trek isn’t the best, it sure is funny to watch the old tv shows. Doesn’t, like, in every episode Captain Kirk or whatever his name is either have his shirt off or is kissing a girl? I think it was in his contract. lol. And not only that but one time I was watching it and realized the rocks falling, you know, big boulders, were bouncing once they hit the ground. I realized it was because they were foam. That made me crack up.

Great site! Thanks for adding me to your blogroll
Another nerdy-girl Star Wars fan – I went to a Renaissance Faire this weekend (which was an experience in and of itself) and a strolling minstrel was playing the Star Wars theme on an accordion!!! I was like, wow – something you don’t hear to often.
My friends didn’t recognize it and gave me extra nerdy-girl points for the week
I’ll be back to check your site out again. You have some great stuff going on
