…my brain is way too dead for posting much at the present. So comming up: awesome stories from people who are much more alert and coherent than I am.
First a short brief about the day: A long time ago, I promised a friend I would eventually get around to reading the Twilight series. With one week to go before the festivities surrounding Breaking Dawn begin, I figured I should get around to doing that. Well I woke up with a migraine because it’s been rainy, but that didn’t stop me. It slowed me down considerably, but stop…no…never. Nothing will keep me from my books. I finished Twilight and immediately rushed out to buy New Moon. I’ll post more about it later when I’m actually able to see straight; however, for right now I’ll just say that Meyer’s control of the first person was very impressive. I regret that I waited so long.
Anyway, now for some blogosphere barks:
A review from James Farquharson of Haruki Murakami’s After Dark, and afterwards, why not go ask the man himself.
Will we ever stop looking for the next Harry Potter? Though I’ll admit 39 Clues has a lot of potential. What with the big name authors out there writing for the series and the totally nifty card game aspect, it does look like a lot of fun.
A Review of Naomi Novik’s His Majesty’s Dragon on In The Shadows, this is a fantastic series. If you haven’t read it….READ IT! I was going to be reviewing the third book today, Black Powder War, but….headache…advil….murr. Until then, get yourself acquainted with the series. Better yet, you should should probably just go buy the book.
Everything you ever wanted to know about book bar codes -> HERE! This was pretty interesting; I’ve never actually stopped to think about bar codes before.
Randy Pausch -”Last Lecture”- Passes Away at 47: A very sad story, but what an inspirational final piece to leave behind. May the last embrace of the mother welcome you home.
Now moving on to New Moon…and another round advil!

Hi, thanks for linking my review
I definitely enjoyed Novik’s debut novel (and yes, it’s taken me way too long to finally get to them through my reading pile). I’ll review the other Temeraire books as soon as I get to them

I’m the same way.
I only started the series a few months ago despite owning the book for well over a year now! I look forward your reviews of the rest of the series!
